Prime Time

NCC has "Thrive," Edge," and "Revolution," otherwise known as our Student Ministries. This fall we introduce "Prime Time," our newest ministry for our age 60 plus population. Our strategy is to offer small groups ("Extreme Grandparenting"), occasional social activities (Molley's Trolley Excursion through Pittsburgh) and possible service projects. If you're in those Prime Time years, plan on joining us for these opportunities to deepen your connection to God as well as others in a similar lifestage.

Museums, Lunch & City Tour

Thursday, October 26, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

We will kick off the new Prime Time Ministry at NCC with a fun day on Molly's Trolley touring two great museums in Pittsburgh:

Johnny Angel’s Ginchy Stuff and Museum – Johnny Angel is a Pittsburgh Music Legend and is the lead singer of Johnny Angel and the Halos. He has been a part of the music scene for over 50 years. The word “Ginchy” comes from the 1950’s meaning “COOL.” In his museum, you will find many “COOL” collectibles from the 50’s through the 80’s while capturing memories from your youth.

Bicycle Heaven is the world’s largest bicycle museum as advertised in the New York Times and Associated Press. You can see bikes featured in movies such as: A Beautiful Mind, Fathers and Daughters, Fences, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure and many others. Bikes from the 1800’s through 2017 are displayed throughout the two floors of Bicycle Heaven, along with other memorabilia covering those same years.

We will stop for a lunch buffet at Emporio Restaurant in the Cultural District to dine on the top floor, which features a sliding glass roof and an amazing view of the city. The price for this fun social outing is $50 per person, which includes transportation on Molly’s Trolley, tour guide, and lunch. The maximum seating on the trolley is 30 people. Please RSVP as soon as possible to secure your spot (first-come, first-served basis). If 60 people are interested, then we can provide two trolleys. Deadline to register is October 16. For more information, contact Lynda Christy.
