That day when evening came, He said to His disciples,

“Let us go over to the other side.”  Mark 4:35

In the NCC Rediscovering Discipleship study we learned that Jesus commands us to go “to the other side.” Compassion Day is an opportunity for the entire NCC congregation to serve and be Jesus’ hands and feet to those in need. This year’s Compassion Day projects focus on “other side” ministries, and are designed to be Covid-safe as they are primarily outside.

Saturdays May 1, 8, 15

Saturday May 22

NCC is partnering with World Vision to provide clean water for West African kids. 6k is the average round trip distance women and children in the developing world walk for water — water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. ALL AGES WELCOME to walk or run this non-competitive 6k. Registration cost is $50 for adults and $25 for kids, of which 100% goes to the water initiative. We will meet at 9 a.m. at the North Park Skating Rink parking lot.

Food for 5,000 for Pine Valley Camp

Sunday June 13

Bring non-perishable food items to church and leave behind your car for Pine Valley Camp to pick up during the service. Pine Valley estimates they feed at least 5,000 meals during the summer to primarily at-risk, inner city campers and this gives them a huge jump on their needs. A list of items can be downloaded: CLICK HERE.
