To prepare for Sunday, use the questions below in a small group setting the week prior to the Sunday message. That small group may be you and one other person or it may be a virtual or in-person meeting.


Sunday, March 14:

CHECK-IN TIME:

  • What are you thankful for this week?
  • What's been tough this week?

ENGAGING GOD’S WORD:

  • How did you respond in obedience from what we read last week?
  • Read the entire Mark 15 chapter focusing on Mark 15:1-4 & 15:29-37
  • Ask someone in the group to retell the passage in their own words
  • Re-read the chapter, but use a different translation, if possible
  • Have the group fill in any missed details
  • Now answer these questions:               
         1. How does the cross connect to being a disciple of Jesus?

OPTIONAL STEPS IN LIVING IT OUT:

  • C,S, Lewis once wrote "Everyone thinks forgiveness is a lovely idea until he has something to forgive."
  • Read the passages: Matthew 6:14-15, Ephesians 4:32 and Colossians 3:12-14
  • Pray the Lord's prayer for the next 4 days, asking God to give you the power to forgive those who have hurt you.

This is a break from the series to focus on Unity in a Time of Division.
