Prepare for Sunday

To prepare for Sunday, use the questions below in a small group setting the week prior to the Sunday message. That small group may be you and one other person or it may be a virtual or in-person meeting.


Sunday, September 27:

CHECK-IN TIME:

  • What are you thankful for this week?
  • What's been tough this week?

ENGAGING GOD’S WORD:

  • Read Mark Chapter 1, verses 14-20
  • Re-read the same passage, but use a different translation if possible
  • Ask someone in the group to retell the passage in their own words
  • Have the group fill in any missed details
  • Now answer these questions:
         1. What words or phrases catch your attention?               
         2. What do we learn about God in this passage?
         3. What do we learn about ourselves and others from this passage?
         4. What is God saying to you in this passage? 

LIVING IT OUT:

  • How will you respond in obedience this week?
